Thank You!

Staff,

I’ve enjoyed celebrating our University of Arkansas staff members throughout the week, and I didn’t want the week to pass before thanking you personally.

Every day, you strengthen the university through the countless hours you put in toward advancing our land-grant mission, and you help to foster a sense of purpose, belonging and safety among every student, faculty and staff member, and visitor that steps foot on campus. Your commitment to the U of A enables our students to thrive and our employees to accomplish purposeful work. Thank you for everything you do.

Now and in the future, our university’s ability to advance student success, achieve research excellence and enhance our status as an employer of choice is only possible because of you. At the State of the University Address on Wednesday, we discussed both our past accomplishments and our future aspirations. I’m incredibly proud of all the ways we’re pushing forward our strategic priorities. And I’m excited about all the opportunities to do more and further our university’s learning and discovery efforts.

To continue building on the momentum we’ve generated so far, let’s remain laser-focused on exceeding the expectations of everyone we serve every day. Keep finding new, creative ways to collaborate with others—both inside and outside our individual colleges and departments—and elevate our beautiful campus community to be all it can be. I truly believe our university can achieve even more over the next year. And when we do, our students’ lives, our state and our society will be better for it.

Thank you, again, for your commitment to serving the U of A and the pride you take in it. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to all we’ll accomplish together.

Sincerely,

Ann Bordelon
